November 3rd Referendum

On November 3rd, Oak Park Illinois voters will vote on this advisory referendum question  "Should the State of Illinois repeal laws that ban state investment in businesses that boycott the State of Israel?"

The purpose of this referendum is to let Illinois State Representatives Lilly and Ford and State Senators Harmon and Lightford know that the community supports the repeal of a 2015 Illinois law that prohibited pension fund investments in businesses that boycott or divest from the State of Israel for any reason, including ethical or human rights concerns.

Oak Parkers for Free Speech gathered more than 3500 names on petitions to put this issue on the ballot. Between now and the November 3rd general election, we will be educating Oak Park voters and seeking their support for the referendum question.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED. Please fill out this form to volunteer or to donate to the November 3rd referendum.
